Kubernetes Admin Basics
Managing a K8s cluster effectively keeps tenants isolated and resources fair.
Namespaces
Isolate environments (Dev vs Prod).
bash
kubectl create namespace productionResource Quotas
Prevent one app from eating all RAM.
yaml
apiVersion: v1
kind: ResourceQuota
metadata:
name: mem-cpu-quota
namespace: production
spec:
hard:
requests.cpu: "1"
requests.memory: 1Gi
limits.cpu: "2"
limits.memory: 2GiRBAC (Role Based Access Control)
Never give developers `cluster-admin`. Create Roles and RoleBindings restricted to specific namespaces.
